As part of the annual “GREAT STEP ’26” festivities, IIT Kharagpur’s Rajbhasha Vibhag and TMES are organizing a high-profile Kavi Sammelan GREAT STEP 2026. This Samaroh serves as a bridge between technical excellence and cultural heritage, bringing together renowned literary figures at the Kalidas Auditorium. The session will showcase the diverse talents of Gyan Prakash Akul and Himanshi Bawra, among other distinguished guests.

The invited poets for this session also include Dr. Praveen Shukla, Vineet Chauhan, and Dr. Akshat Dimri. The program, beginning at 5:30 PM on March 14, 2026, is made possible through the support of the Ministry of Coal, SECL, MCL, and NCL. This Virat gathering invites all members of the IIT community and guests to experience the best of contemporary Indian poetry.
