The Press Club in Pendra hosted a solemn Sahityik Sangoshthi Vinod Kumar Shukla on December 30, 2025. This literary gathering, titled “Shraddhanjali evam Smaran,” focused on the humble remembrance of literary giants who have shaped Indian heritage. Organised by the Sahityakar Samiti GPM, the program provided a platform for local writers to pay homage through their verses.

The Sangoshthi highlighted the contributions of Jnanpith awardee Vinod Kumar Shukla and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Special segments were also dedicated to the memory of the esteemed Surendra Dubey. Following the first session and a brief “Chai Avakash” (Tea Break), the second session allowed poets to perform representative readings of these immortal literary pillars. The entire Samaroh was conducted under the joint auspices of the Sahityakar Samiti and the GPM Press Club.
